Three weeks and I am off to Reno again. The pool and the all important pool bar will be open and happy hours will be poolside.
Last trip to Reno was wonderful. Brother Lorne and his wife, Pat were there to spend a few days to honour my older brother Barry. Barry passed away last year from cancer and this trip would have celebrated his 63rd birthday. We raised a glass or two to ya, brother.
Well the great adventure is drawing to an end. We are on the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, and the sea was angry my friend. Managed to shop a lot, and eat a lot and meet some nice people. Alexis got her prom dress, Doug got Leah’s saddle and I picked up some Big Dog shirts. Had a great dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, Fiesta Jalisco, in Port Angelus, and a truly great breakfast @ the Haven restaurant in Port Angeles. Met some really nice Bahai friends and enjoyed tea before catching the 4 o’clock Coho ferry home.

Doug hard at work on his soon to be published book on Chess. Alexis, hopped up on Vitamin Water, looks on.
Most nights will find me either behind the white keyboard or comfortably settled on the sofa, deftly navigating the intricacies of east coast/west coast time shifting on my cable box. I live in quiet fear of missing some interesting tv. Last night however I was driving down highway 101, marveling at how dark it can get away from the light pollution of the urban jungle. Ah yes, the greatest of all adventures, Road Trip. Stay tuned…
Good luck pal.
its Me, I Tell You…it is me to a tee
Happy New Year, 2007. Good Luck to ya.
